"We have worked with Marlena several times to clear out our 3 story home with basement before we move to an apartment. The amount of items we had collected in our lives, and that came to us from both sets of our parents was overwhelming. Both my husband and I found ourselves having trouble deciding what to keep and what to give away. I especially had difficulty with the emotional attachments I had for things, but she has a way of turning the loss around to thinking of it as a positive way of gifting to others, with a dash of humor. She was able to make going through classes of items, and rooms of items fun and fast. We really appreciated that she took away useable items to places where they will have a new home. "I hired Marlena to help me declutter my overwhelming amount of clothes & accumulated belongings in preparation for a new baby that we needed to make space for in our smaller row house. After working with her on one room and seeing how great it felt, I had Marlena (& Sarah) come back twice more to help me with other areas of my house before giving birth. The experience was wonderful and cleared my mind too which is an amazing feeling. Marlena offers the service of immediately taking all donations from your house at the end of the session, which is so worth it especially when you have a car-sized load of bags & boxes to drop off. In just a short packing session we were able to get so much accomplished that would have taken triple the time solo. The unpacking process was unreal. In under 7 hours with an extra pair of hands, on Halloween no less, Philly Neat Freaks unpacked and organized our kitchen, basement, guest closet, two linen closets and made recommendations for our mudroom and bathroom storage concerns. Before the move, Marlena helped us anchor in the goals of their unpacking/organizing support: Make the house fully functional by the day after the move, with a priority on the baby's room and kitchen. And dang, Marlena made it happen! They asked questions about my kitchen organizing preferences and made smart choices where I didn't have answers. They were so versatile in the support they provided – guiding me in moments when I had decision fatigue of what to focus on next, being hands-on help organizing our whole basement, offering product recommendations for storage solutions, and so much more. She helped me unpack and organize two years ago after I moved my (way too much stuff) into a significantly smaller apartment, and has been helping me declutter and pack for my upcoming move. (If you're considering using Philly Neat Freaks prior to a move, I STRONGLY suggest that you do a declutter session or two BEFORE a packing session; it will save you a lot of stress and time.)"

"Marlena was absolutely wonderful!!! From the consultation, through the execution, even through the early arrival of my son less than halfway through the organization I was supposed to help with, she was flexible and reliable. I came home from the hospital with a newborn, to a newly organized kitchen and basement and it was so refreshing. Also, since this review took me 7 months to write (baby life), I can attest to the easy maintainability of the organization! I cannot recommend Marlena enough, and I have, many times!
